Commercial Storefront Replacement & Installation

Commercial storefront windows and entrance

Kedzie Windows supplies and installs complete commercial storefront systems throughout Chicagoland. We work with property owners and commercial tenants who have the necessary owner approval, handling full replacement and new installation. A single commercial storefront can be reviewed as a project.

Treat the storefront as one defined system

A storefront inquiry should identify the entrance, adjoining display windows and the framing included in the work. State whether you want to replace the full existing system or create a new installation. If a building has several storefronts, identify which tenant spaces are involved and whether they are being addressed together.

This service is for complete storefront systems. We do not provide emergency glass service, glass-only repair or a general entrance-door repair service. If the project is limited to building windows away from the storefront, see commercial windows.

For property owners

Identify the affected storefront and whether the tenant space will remain occupied. Note any planned changes to the entrance or surrounding openings, as well as broader renovation work that needs to be coordinated. Keeping the storefront scope explicit helps distinguish a replacement project from a tenant improvement that includes several other changes.

For a property with several commercial spaces, list each proposed system separately. A phased plan should make clear which storefront is included first and which areas remain outside that phase.

For commercial tenants

You can inquire with the necessary owner approval. Include the property location, the business space involved and the owner or management approval status. If approval is still being arranged, say so; an estimate inquiry should not be presented as authorization to alter the property.

Also describe operating and access considerations. We work around occupied properties, but the arrangements for a business entrance need to be discussed in the context of the specific site. Do not assume every entrance can follow the same work schedule or access plan.

New storefront installation

For new construction or a new storefront opening, tell us the current stage of the project and how the storefront fits the wider work. Local review should be based on the full commercial scope. A residential rule about replacing a same-size window is not a basis for assuming a storefront system needs no review.

We supply and install the system together. All our work is warrantied for parts and labor, and site visits and estimates are free.

Common questions

Is one storefront enough to request an estimate?

Yes. The exclusion of standalone single-window and single-patio-door jobs does not exclude a complete commercial storefront project.

Can you replace only broken storefront glass?

No. Our scope is complete storefront replacement and new installation, rather than glass-only repairs or emergency work.

Do you work with tenants as well as owners?

Yes, with the necessary property-owner approval. Include that approval status and the intended scope in your inquiry.
