Kedzie Windows supplies and installs commercial building windows for replacement and new construction projects. We work with property owners and managers to define the affected areas, coordinate access and organize installation around an occupied property. Projects are evaluated individually, with free site visits and estimates.
Separate building windows from the storefront
Before requesting an estimate, identify the part of the property involved. Windows serving rooms or tenant spaces belong in the building-window scope. An entrance combined with display windows and framing belongs in a commercial storefront project. A mixed-use property may need both; identifying each area prevents an entrance system from being treated as a collection of unrelated window openings.
Our commercial window work includes full replacement and new installation. We do not offer broken-glass-only repairs, emergency glazing or installation of products supplied by others. If an inquiry involves a complete storefront system, it can be reviewed even when the project is limited to one storefront.
Define a scope that a property manager can coordinate
List the tenant spaces or building areas involved, whether those spaces will remain occupied and who can arrange access. Note any difference between the proposed work and the existing openings. A replacement within the same opening and an installation that changes an opening should not be described as the same project.
For buildings with more than one occupant, record which areas must be coordinated separately. A shared project contact helps keep the window scope, access arrangements and tenant communications consistent. We specialize in working around occupied spaces; the practical requirements should be identified before an installation schedule is established.
New construction and changes to an existing property
For new construction, include the location, intended use and project stage in your inquiry. If windows are part of a broader renovation, explain that context rather than requesting them as an isolated item. Local review can depend on the overall work and property classification, so a permit exception written for a house should not be assumed to apply to a commercial building.
For an existing property, an opening list is useful even when the final quantity is still being refined. Distinguish locations planned for the first phase from areas that may follow later. This gives the project a defined boundary without implying that every window must be replaced at once.
If improved comfort is a project goal
Tell us if energy efficiency, difficult operation or a more consistent appearance is driving the project. Those goals help explain what you want the replacement to achieve, but they do not establish a product specification or guaranteed result. We do not promise a particular energy saving or assume every comfort concern comes from the windows.
