Kedzie Windows supplies and installs replacement windows for apartment buildings, condo associations, commercial properties and larger residential projects throughout Chicagoland. We help owners move from scattered window concerns to a coordinated replacement project, including work around occupied units. Free site visits and estimates are available.
Start with the building, then define the window project
A useful starting point is a list of affected windows by unit or room, with a short description of the concern. Note where occupants report cold air, difficult operation or recurring problems, and identify windows already replaced. A building can have several generations of windows; its construction date alone does not establish what needs replacing.
We review projects individually. The scope may cover a building-wide replacement, a planned phase or a larger group of windows within a property. Our work is supply and installation together. We do not offer installation of customer-provided products, repair-only work or standalone single-window jobs.
Choose the right planning path
Apartment owners and landlords: Start with the unit list, access arrangements and a contact who can coordinate resident notices. Our apartment window replacement service focuses on occupied properties and phased building work.
Condo associations and HOA boards: Establish who can approve the project and how participating residences will be identified. The association window replacement page explains how to organize a shared scope without treating every resident inquiry as a separate project.
Commercial owners: Separate building windows from entrance and display glazing. Commercial windows and complete storefront systems serve different parts of a property and deserve a clearly defined scope.
Replacement and new installation
We also supply and install windows for new construction. For a new installation, tell us the property type, location and current stage of the project. For replacement, explain whether you intend to retain the existing openings or change them. That distinction helps identify questions that should be resolved with the local building department before work is scheduled.
Larger single-family projects are welcome, with new construction preferred for this part of our work. Multifamily, association and commercial projects remain our primary focus.
Work around the people who use the property
An occupied building needs a reliable access plan as well as new windows. Identify a property contact, units with access restrictions and any planned work that could overlap with installation. If the project will proceed in phases, keep a record of completed and remaining locations so the next phase has a clear starting point.
Our team brings more than 15 years of experience serving Chicagoland. All our work is warrantied for parts and labor.
If improved comfort is a project goal
Tell us if energy efficiency, difficult operation or a more consistent appearance is driving the project. Those goals help explain what you want the replacement to achieve, but they do not establish a product specification or guaranteed result. We do not promise a particular energy saving or assume every comfort concern comes from the windows.
Common questions
Can you replace just one window?
We focus on larger projects rather than standalone single-window jobs. Describe your property and approximate scope in the estimate form; we review every submission individually.
Do all windows have to be replaced at once?
No. Phased replacement can be considered. Tell us whether the project is intended to cover the whole property over time or only a defined group of windows.
Does a draft mean the entire window must be replaced?
A symptom alone does not establish the appropriate scope. Record the location and conditions, then have the project evaluated. Our service is full replacement and new installation, rather than repair-only work.
